Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as “STU”) is a modern educational and scientific institution. Since its foundation in the year 1937 more than 159.000 students have graduated. In average, 13.000 students study at the STU every year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At present, the STU consists of seven faculties based in Bratislava and\u00a0<\/span>Trnava<\/span>. All the faculties provide a study in accredited study programmes within the complex system of a bachelor, master and PhD. study. Faculties realise credit system compatible with the European credit transfer system enabling mutual mobility of students within European Union member countries and a larger European space. In the area of scientific and research activities the STU successfully joints European Union programmes.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>STU is a public university and offers education mainly in technical, technological, technical-economical, technical-information and technical-artistic fields of study using the modern methods of education, laboratories and practical training. It is aimed at the study branches with stable opportunities of students’ employment at the labour market.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Spectra Centre of Excellence of the EU, research and training centre within STU, with its activities contributes to economic, social and cultural integration in Europe. By permanent research and proposals of the solutions for optimisation of spatial structures of settlements it helps to meet the objectives of sustainable spatial development, management and planning as well as to balancing regional disparities, improving quality of life and strengthening of social equity in Europe.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Our vision is to create a sustainable innovation ecosystem that will develop the potential of this cross-border region. By combining capacities in manufacturing, research and public administration in the area between Vienna and Bratislava, it is possible to develop this area and make it a better place to live. Within<\/span>\u00a02C FIMH\u00a0<\/span>project<\/span>, STU\u00a0<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>main<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>cross-border<\/span>\u00a0partner of\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>project<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>coordinating<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>activities<\/span>\u00a0of Slovak\u00a0<\/span>project<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>partners<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>It<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>responsible<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0WP1 “<\/span>XBorder<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Future<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Innovation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Strategy<\/span>\u00a0–\u00a0<\/span>Manufacturing<\/span>” and\u00a0<\/span>participates<\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>other<\/span> work packagres<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>project<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
