Bridging innovation across SK–AT borders
On 4 May in Hainburg an der Donau, Twin City Hub brought together key actors from the SK-AT cross-border innovation region to strengthen the Slovak-Austrian stakeholder collaboration.
The key question: How do we turn the shared SK-AT cross-border innovation potential into specific action?

Highlights
Participants worked hands-on across four Twin City focus areas:
• Talent & Skills
• Innovation to Market
• Cross-Border Collaboration Models
• Industry & SME Transformation
Key topics included university cooperation, startup support and cross-border acceleration, positioning the Trnava region, tech transfer, key enabling technologies for stronger SK-AT supply chains, and SME insights.
This was also the first in-person meeting of this SK–AT working-level group. Ideas were captured, shared, and will feed into the next phase.
The workshop took place alongside the Twin City Future Tech Bootcamp hackathon, leading up to the Industry meets Makers finale “Best of Industry meets Makers” on 7 May at Vienna City Hall.
Next step: identifying cross-border action points based on the insights and connections.
