Vienna & Bratislava
A successful cross-border open innovation project
The Twin City Future Innovation Manufacturing Hub Project (2C FIMH) develops recommendations for a transnational innovation strategy in the manufacturing sector and lays the foundation for an innovation hub in Vienna and Bratislava. During the project period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027, pilot activities on incubation, education, and cooperation will be carried out to promote cross-border collaboration between universities, companies, and start-ups.

Die Projektumsetzung wird von der EIT Manufacturing East GmbH mit Hauptsitz in Wien geleitet. Das gesamte Projektkonsortium setzt sich aus 7 Hauptpartnerorganisationen und 11 strategischen Partnerorganisationen aus Österreich und der Slowakei zusammen. Das Projekt mit einem budgetären Gesamtvolumen i.H.v. 2.509.280,18 € wird von dem EU-geförderten „Interreg Slowakei-Österreich“-Programm mit 2.007.424,14 € finanziell unterstützt.
