A 4-Day Co-Creation

On 4-6 May in Hainburg an der Donau, the Twin City Future Tech Bootcamp took place to peak on 7 May in Vienna at a showcase presentation of tech solutions to six challenges within the “Best of Industry meets Makers” event.

Over four days, the Industry meets Makers brought together Slovak and Austrian visionary minds from across technology, creativity, and innovation to connect, collaborate, and shape what’s next.

DAY 1:  May 4

Pitching & Matchmaking

Hainburg & online

The bootcamp opened with a morning briefing: challenge owners and technology partners presented their topics as well as the available tools and data sets. A Q&A session followed. In the afternoon, participants connected, developed ideas, and formed teams to create initial concepts and prepare for the build phase.

DAY 2 + 3:  May 5–6

Build & Iterate

Hainburg & online

Over the next two days, teams focused on hands-on development, prototyping, and testing in a flexible hop-on/hop-off format. Short morning and early afternoon check-ins helped teams share progress, exchange feedback, and tackle blockers with expert support.

DAY 4: May 7

Demo & Next Steps

Vienna City Hall

The final day began with a pitch test session at Vienna City Hall, followed by the official stage program of “Best of Industry meets Makers 2026”. This is where teams presented the solutions they have developed over the course of the bootcamp and the last 5 months of the Industry meets Makers program.
